since this i believe is just a test shot i think most of what j said is spot on probably easier to just use a fill flash the 550 digital flash by cannon works great for that outside when you have shadows. in the future i would try composing with your subject off center some or filling the frame more to instead of hide her facial imperfections bring them out in high detail older people are far more interesting when you can see the wrinkles and imperfections of course these are all just my oppinions

If you are running out of time to save Candian PR under 3 years out of country stay rule, then only we have to think this canda stay.
If you can stay here and still save candian PR for this 1.5 years, just get into the system and try out here in US. That is the best bet rather than not trying at all.
Who knows you may get Labor/I140 in this 1.5 years and may get everything well.
DOL procedures - We really do not know how serious that **Supervised Recruit** is, unless it is experienced by people.
If you loose candian PR in 6 months or so, unless you land there, then we have to think about it.
Now please give me green, as i do not have many; ;)

I understand your frustration, but its like holding IV responsible for getting your GC - that does not seem right.
Contributing now is important; and after getting gc's, its equally important to support the people who are still stuck in the process.
My First donation was in Jan 2006. The latest one was, 100$ for the Washington meet this year. And I had a lot more in between. This will be just on top of it. How is my GC is related to IV. I dont think I am holding anybody responsible for it.

My FP was done on 10/17 but no LUD.how often they update status online?
We gave for fingerprints 5 days back but our LUD on I-485 is not yet updated. Is this common?
I-485 receipts from NSC.
Most of my friends LUD is updated within 2 days of giving finger prints.

Is there a way to find out if the employer has revoked I-140? I have changed employers in Feb and my I1-40 was approved back in June. There was an update on my I-140 recently in Mar. I was wondering what could that be for?

For the benefit of people (like me ) who filed 2 sets of I-485s on same underlying I-140, during the July 07 fiasco, I am posting this info.
My July 2/07 filing got approved, I and my family got LPR cards on 8/8/8.
My other I-485 is still on with Last UD on 4/9/08 I did not get a FP notice on this, but my son and wife did FP on 1/2/08 and had LUD. I think USCIS will send a denial notice soon on these.
I also did e-filing for EAD renewal in mid July 08, did FP on 8/5/08, with a LUD on 8/8/08, the day we received out plastic GCs in mail.Again expect denial soon as I have GC now.
Any way I am not withdrawing these apllications myself,to avoid any confusion.
Fortunately I did not get RFEs, no "administrative process", as some one suggested, nor it did cause my case to be delayed specifically due to this duplicate application.
I did not want to lose the 1 month window opportunity that I got to get my AOS underway after waiting from 9/30/05,the last day when EB2 was current for me, and my PERM was found certified that morning at 10.00M.Eventhough I sent the whole package of 140/145 by day samedayFedEX, it reached VSC after office hours.VSC refused to accept my package and returned it back stating, PD not current on 10/3/05.
My next chance came almost 2 years later and the the July VB fiasco, Initial reports were that NSC was sending all the July2 back, so when I did not receive the package nor the I-797 until 8/16/07, I filed the second 485s.
Eventhough I had done stop payment on my checks and had asked" Do not Open in mail room" + plea to disregard the duplicate filing if my first filing was already accepted, with bold Multicolored lettering, the mail room clerks did not pay attention, went ahead and accepted my filing. When these checks were not cashed, USCIS sent collection notice from Debt management dept, I had to pay whether or this application was accepted or not. So I lost the filing fee and the penalty about $1200.00
I hope it will be ok for all the people who did like me. I wish all of you the best and early approvals

2. The USCIS can not increase the fee for that
Means...the 2 million illegals will be put ahead of the legals who are rotting in line for years. To process these docs, USCIS needs more resource and needs to hire more people but they can not increase the fee. So USCIS will come after the legals and increase their fee. These democrats wants to rob legals and reward illegas.
and you are hoping once this bill passed they will consider us...YOU MADE MY DAY.

You nearly aged out but since your priority date became current before your 21st birthday, you should be eligible to get an immigrant visa. CSPA protects you here. Also they should deduct about four months (period your father's I140 was outstanding) from your current age. This makes you eligible for a visa. See what happens at your next appointment but ask your Dad to talk to an immigration attorney in the US.

Thank you very much for the insight of my issue. Just want to inform you that my employer(who intitiated the transfer now) are the employer and the client for me. Hopefully I might not get any RFE and as you said if I get the reciept number after 14 or 15 calendar days and update the result of petition in a week or so, that would be great.

My company pays fixed amount 3500 ( for with 2 year agreement clause ) for the GC process and the same got exhuasted by the time i got my I 140 ( Expensive attorney) . For 485 i am paying from my pocket.

Here is the problem. So by this token, does it mean that IT Project managers either need to be classified as CIS managers or not get classified at all? This is absurd.
The attorney is not giving out any suggestions on what to do as they already filed, got a high PW and appealed which got denied.
The attorney is suggesting to refile, something I don't think is going to change the outcome.

I signed an agreement with my employer who is holding my H1 visa. Agreement is saying I should not work for same client for 1 year. While I am on project, client is offering me pertinent job. My employer is saying I should not accept the employment offer from client. If I ignore my employer and accepts the offer from my client, I am going to be in trouble?

If you filed your I-485 in July, 2007 with the knowledge and consent of Company A, you are in order as GC is for future employment. It would appear you did so since they did not withdraw the I-140.
Having said, the only proper course of action is for you to go back to work for Company A after you obtain your GC.
If you would like to work for Company B after GC, you would have to file a change of employer right now (using AC21 provisions). Alternatively you may interfile the approved I-140 from employer B with your current application. You are entitled to keep the priority date on the I-140 of employer A so you should not be affected negatively.
If your lawyer is saying you could continue to work for employer B after GC without doing anything at this time, I would suggest you talk to another immigration attorney to hear a second opinion.
Having said, the only proper course of action is for you to go back to work for Company A after you obtain your GC.

Is this because of EB3 to EB2 conversions? If so then the likelihood of EB2 - I dates moving a lot in Oct bulletin are low.
Are there any 'guesstimates' out there for the number of EB3 to EB2 conversions?
The main reason apart from stated ones above - "FBI new name check 6 month policy". Lot of old people which were struck up with name check from long time are getting cleared now.
